Aeration and Overseeding

Hello Everyone,

This is my first go around with this feature so please bear with me and make any suggestions you think are fit.

I titled this aeration and overseeding because it is that time of the year. The reasons you should aerate are because it helps train your grasses roots to grow deeper into the soil, it helps allow air and nutrients to get to the roots more readily, and it also helps thicken your lawn and help it become more weed resistant. The roots growing deeper helps your grass survive through these very hot and dry spells we've been having by sheltering the grass's roots from the sun and direct heat. Aeration also helps your new grass seed survive by shading it and allowing it to start deeper than on the surface. Overseeding, also know as just seeding, is good because it then helps give your lawn new grass starts and since you've aerated your new grass will start with deeper roots and helps your lawn grow thicker and greener.

But like everything it takes time for results. Our lawns service has had very good results the last few years but your lawn has to be treated as an investment. If you want it to look like a golf course you have to invest every year and it will grow thick and lush.
